My son looks at the 3 or 4 bassin' tackle boxes and untold bassin' rods and reels and asks, "Why don't you bass fish any more?" I answer his question with this, "Have you tasted bass? Have you tasted crappie and walleye?" He just says, "Yeah, I understand..." (He loves any kind of fishun') Kinda of a shame. I used to really be into bass fishun'. I even did tournaments. I guess when life got really busy and the kids became the primary focus, I just got away from it. And when I did find time, I found fishing competitively the last thing on Earth I wanted to do. Way too many a-holes fishun' bass tournaments, unless it is a club of buddies or like-minded guys. I needed chill time and crappie and walleye fishing is much more relaxing with a much tastier yield... Maybe I'll throw the Rattlin' Rogue a few times this weekend and see if I can get one of the early spring bass to chomp down on it...
