What kind of sankey tapper you using on your american kegs??
I see these D style tappers but can't figure out the flow of things on them. Is the gas coming in the top and the beer going out the side? I'm trying to figure out what fittings I might need. All I'm running is these ball locks on the corny kegs, so I'll need some new fittings.
Local beer store is selling Sammy Oktoberfest in 5 gal kegs. I gotta get me one.

I use the standard D style Sanke tapper. Fits most domestic kegs, including Sam Adams. See chart here: http://www.beveragefactory.com/draftbeer/couplers/american/FAQ_COMP.shtml
Beer line comes out the top, gas line on the side.
I've only bought an import keg once, and that required a different tap -- too much hassle, so I don't buy import kegs anymore.
Corny keg I use the same as you - the ball locks. Wish they made an in-line quick diconnect fittings so changing from my Sanke to ball-locks was easier.

sweet.
looks like a threaded fitting on top, so I'll need to get that ordered too. I've seen what's called quick disconnects for sankey, but they're no where near as quick as the ball locks.
thanks man.
