could use a little advice
      #202474 - Thu Apr 01 2010 02:27 PM

Got into a situation monday, came home from taking the grandkids to school and the police were here.Apparently my dog went after the next door(real crack house)neighbor.

My dog was loose when I got back, but I'm 99.9% sure the doors were shut. One of the kids could have left the door open,or maybe the crackheads tried to get in...the garage and basement door were ajar when I returned.

So now I got a sweet court date as he claimed he was injured from falling, not bite.I wasn't there so I don't know.

I've been looking at electric fences, but they ain't cheap, and I don't want to buy one if my dog is put down.(I'm checking with a real lawyer,no offense internet lawyers)

So in the meantime,is there some type I can just put across the front door and garage so he won't want to cross?I don't want to drop a bunch buying one till I know the outcome.

Dabs has a shock collar up for sale, but I guess I would need to be in sight to use it.

Bueller,Bueller??

Have the worthless fleabag put down, or at least neutered.

The neighbor, I mean.

So, is this "real crack house" known to the local police? If it is, and you got a ticket for your dog chasing the dude.....then ya'll got some weird police over there.

Yep,its the house next door that I've posted about in the past.I really don't know how it works, there were no other witnesses, but I assume the officer had to write a ticket since a complaint was made.I don't know if they have discretion on it or if they can just pass a report to the prosecutor.

It was the same officer that arrested the neighbor for assualting my sister-in-law on our porch, and also made an arrest of another resident next door as part of a 3 county,26 person drug bust.

I'm guessing his hands were tied, that he had to issue a ticket. At least I know they will think twice about coming over again.
