Next time your in the Birmingham area, stop in and have some fine BBQ at Miss Myra's. She's been written up in the Wall Street Journal Wall Street Journal article and Southern Living Southern Lining Been visited by Andrew Zimmern and had tons of local press.
We had the pleasure of dining with Miss Myra herself. I'm doing a project with her son and her gave her the heads-up we were coming. She stuffed us like the pigs she cooks and the grub was pure southern cookin'. The BBQ was very good but still not up to Pappy's. The sides were better than any BBQ joint I've ever been to. We had one of each but could only take a few bites of each due to the sheer volume of food in front of us. At the banana pudding for desert and it was the best I've ever had!!
I could go on for days about this joint. Stop in if your in Birmingham. You won't be disappointed!!
