Why don't they just add a bubble over the (filter doesn't like corkpit apparently) like some of the dragsters do? Seems like a simple fix. Probably better aerodynamics as well... But alas, do they really want it safer?
Sad deal for his friends and family. But just like NASCAR, they need this every now and then. Once people know there isn't a real risk of somebody getting killed, attendance will go down. MMA will be next. Look for one of the cauliflower-eared goons to get killed and watch two things happen. First will be the fake sadness and fake demands for rule changes. Then you will see attendance rise, because they know someone might get killed. We really aren't that far removed from watching Christians being fed to the lions or death matches in the Coliseum, are we?
