Just to breathe a little life into this forum, here's a couple pics from late last year. I was at a friends house when I caught this snake, and my friend took a few pics as the snake was trying to get away.

Funny you posted, was just thinking of you.
I now live near the everglades, and they just started the second python round-up.Lots of exotic/invasive species in the wild down here. They get cash prizes for longest-heaviest-smallest-most etc....tons of reptiles down here, you would be in heaven, lady even found a cobra last month in her laundry room.
Not the same as monster trucks, but this weekend is also the "famous swampbuggy"races near me-those wild ones that run 80 mph in 4 feet of water and mud like you used to see on wild world of sports.

Reminds me of the time years ago when Dad had a 6 ft. blacksnake get loose in Mom's car for about a week.
He was always fascinated with living creatures, including snakes, and liked to show others. He even brought home a flying squirrel once for us kids to see. Crows, salamanders, possums, you name it.
Anyway, Dad came home from running the dozer one day, and he'd caught a whopper somewhere. Why he decided to bring it home I don't know. Anyhow, the dammed snake got loose and hid in the Honda for nearly a week. Mom was pissed to say the least. I don't recall her ever being more worked up!!! She'd seen him drag in critters of every kind for decades, but this was too much. I remember him telling how he drew a circular line in the dirt/dust around where the car was parked, with all the doors and trunk fully opened. Dad was doing everything he could think of to solve the serious trouble he found himself in. Soon one day he happened to get a glimpse of the snake's tail under the driver's seat. Snake did all it could to avoid capture, all coiled up and firmly wrapped under the seat. But Dad finally worked the snake out of Mom's car.
I appreciate the post and pics, GoGop.

I caught another one today. There are lots of mice near/in the chicken coop, so I let it go near there.

I've had 3 different speckled black snakes around this year (clearly different sizes) and two last year, they are cool looking snakes, and no I am not going to catch one for you, I like them being here.
