Maybe Fowler found his swing again. Sweep of the lowly Pirates Crawling back up the standings. 145+ games to play so no need to push the panic button. We can ship off Adams any time though. Maybe we can get a used condom, a stale beer, and a half full bottle of Bill Cosby's old pill for Braxton also. That's dudes worthless. He has been that way for years.

It's also time to put Carp back at 3rd. Give Martinez some more playing time with his hot bat and put him at first. Leave the outfield alone with a Fowler, Piscotty, and Grichuck. ....... and Adams out of it without a doubt.
Ship out Jonny P also. Wong and Gyrko can split 2nd base.

Again I am amazed at how brain dead this team is
Base running mistakes, errors--Mathenius the Genius managment
Some how Wong has emerged as the biggest knucklehead of a team full of knuckleheads-- that 5 year deal for $22.5 million looks like the kiss of death right now.
I don't know how many times I can stand watching Wong hit into a 4-6-3 double play with men in scoring position.
If he doesn't watch it we might trade him to the Royals and really rat fork them

The dumb twin and I were at the ballpark today......that team would be harder to watch than the Blues but they have a certain kind of "three stooges" charm so it's kind of fun to watch them boot the ball, screw up base running, throw to the wrong man, and on and on.
I was toast after 10 but she talked me into "one more inning, PLEASE"......she got it right.
Good times.

Fielding and fundamentals are still sub-par but they're hitting the snot out of the ball, so it isn't costing them games. Watching Wong F up a potential 2-3-6 (tag) double play, last night, just leaves you wondering how this clown played college level and now pro ball. He is really a head case.
Not much chance this team stays ahead of the Cubs for long but fun while it lasts. Hopefully the bats stay hot.

Fork the Cubs. Quit drinking the Kool-Aid from ESPN. The Cards are just as hot as any team in baseball. The last 2-3 weeks have been good. Chicago is flat right now. Cards need to get better defensively, without a doubt. Sierra is going to be a good player when they decide to promote him full time. As long as we have a couple players staying hot with the bat, and it seems to switch every week or so, we will be fine. Right now, that's Wong and Phambino. Carp and Diaz are starting to get into their form........and Gyorko needs to be in the lineup nightly. Johnny P can just ride the pine with Adams. The problem is Mathemy will over think chit and sit the hot guys, thinking he can mix it up, and create more magic.
Perhaps we could get Oquendo to trade in his suit for a uniform until the AS break. That might help out our defense.

Maybe Arrietta is coming down to earth. He came from no where, might be going back there, we'll see.

Crying Joe, is a biatch. Always has been one. Cried about the slides. Cried about the white backdrop at Busch, with Cards batting .........and LITERALLY the next home stand at Wrigley, a white sign behind home plate with the Cubs at bat. Cried about them being tired, like this play more away games than anyone else. They play 5 more games at home this month. He cried about stick-em on Molina's chest protestor. He is a beardedtaco.
Now suddenly everyone is hurt and that's an issue. Kinda like the Redbirds a couple years ago when everyone go hurt and someone called up from AAA filled in and we kept winning. I guess Shitcago wasn't ass deep as they thought.

I'll give you APs props when you are due. The pregame ceremony honoring the 1967 World Series team was pretty awesome. Good times , good game ,great seats and two replica rings.Left at end of 9th , went to bar at the Westin to watch the next 4 innings.Sat next to Orlando Cepeda and Javier Lopez.

Wishing Matt Adams the best but he hasn't been the same since injured some 2 years ago. I think he can help the Braves and who knows on the kid we got.

Maybe the Red Sox will make room for Peralta. Mo sent Adams
To a team Desperate for a 1st baseman. Everyone knew it. So instead of getting a good deal we sent Adams, with a sack full of cash, for a Single A infielder hitting .275 at that level. Seriously. That's all we could forking get?? Was Mo drunk?? The Braves were desperate if they thought Matt Adams could fil their void at 1st, and Mo failed to take advantage of that situation.

I was pretty surprised by that too, particularly having the Braves over a barrel, supposedly.
Just his pinch hitting status alone would bring more, one would think. But the kid might be good, that's all that's left now.

If the kid was worth a damn, he wouldn't be spending his time in a ball or rookie league. You also teyouclaly don't send a proven MLB player, eating his salary also........while getting a Single A player in return. Adams
Needed to go, but he was worth more than we got, especially considering we are paying the bulk of his salary.
