It's gotta take something good for me to trade a crane hunt Mac. For instance........here are some things I've traded or are trading Sink Box Black duck hunt in Canada. Rhode Island layouts for Brant's, eiders, and sea ducks. Alligator hunting for life in Florida. Cali diver hunting. Lake Michigan layout hunting and salmon fishing. Maine Eiders. Maryland divers. Louisiana redfish and canvasback combo. Washington state layouts. Snake river hunting. Great salt lake airboat hunting. Platte River mallards.
You know something different. Something I haven't done. You gotta bring something to the table besides cash. Flashing some cash doesn't get me excited. If it did, I wouldn't carry a fancy big rock in my pocket every day.

My prediction is Mac hunts cranes with the Eastsiders before it is all said and done.
I think I probably just sealed the deal for you Mac based on my predictions so far this week.
See how I stepped up
My prediction is this. The rod rack on my boat gets replaced by the dude who tore it off.........before Mac gets to crane hunt with me. Bet that 50-11 times over.

Dabs,
Yeah, thanks fer steppin' up.LOL...
Dog,
I can can have a hunt booked in 24 hours. I can and do fly with my gun, ammo and gear. Pick up an suv and be on birds the next day. I've done it, did it and got the t-shirts. A closet full...big deal.
I've enjoyed doing this all over including Europe and made a few friends along the way.
I'd probably get tired of yer hubris long before the hunt was over. The only "rock" you've shown us is not in yer pocket. It's between yer ears....

Well then I guess you can book one of you are Jonesing for a crane hunt this year. I save a few spots every year for someone wanted to trade a hunt. I still haven't seen you stepping up with one of those either. You're cash doesn't interest me. All the nin trading spots are full.

It was actually a 6 month old rod rack. I'd have to get dimensions for it since the guy won't make them anymore. It still isn't getting Mac on a crane hunt. It just opens the door up for a trade. His money is no good......and he can't figure that out. I'm still waiting for him to tell me what he has for a trade.

Reelfoot doesn't interest me. Hunting some giant blind for duck with 500-11 decoys and a blind breakfastwith a fancy boat ride........Just like Big Lake or 10,000 other blinds in Louisiana. Been here. Done that.

Dog, I could pull some strings and put you on a hunt of a lifetime....but I ain't gonna...
You got a great gig going no doubt, but nothing exclusive in my opinion. There's plenty of hunting anywhere I choose to go.
Carry on.....

I sent a buddy to New Zealand to hunt with my guy. He killed a Tahr, red stag, fallow deer. Sitka deer, ducks, turkeys, and had a chance at a chamois. It cost him some Jet A for the chopper. That's a hunt of a lifetime for me. I've got that deal covered. I've killed bear, moose, caribou, every species of duck except one.
If it wasn't so exlusive everyone would be killing cranes and you wouldn't have been asking. Your money is no good like I said.

Hey Mac
When you think Sandhill Crane you think of the Sandhills of Nebraska and your forking state doesn't even have a season for them.
But..........
The Platte is a where all the blue hair tennis shoe wearing old bird biddies want to be in the spring because the cranes stage their northern migration there.
I guess Nebraska is ate up with pheasant hunting or have they gone crazy and become deer hunters?

Mac - it's funny you used the term "hunt of a lifetime". I've got a buddy who runs National class German Shorthairs. He told me that he heard there were a bunch of quail in Texas last year and wanted to get in on some of it. I called your nemesis and within a few weeks we were in Texas with him hunting quail on 60,000 acres of private ranch. We put up 82 coveys in about 12 hours of total hunting.....craziest chit I've ever seen. My buddy told me on the way home that was "a hunt of a lifetime".....and he's hunted quail for 40 years with some of the best dogs in the country. I'm just saying......you're so far out of your league on this one you'd be better off touting that minor league baseball team in that dump where you live as "a team for the ages".
BUT.......I'll say this, if I get one of my buds asking me where we could go to kill a bushel full of humming birds, I know who to call for "a hunt of a lifetime".
