Since somehow (and for the first time ever) I managed to win the annual bet on the Royals with Swampy (and thoroughly enjoyed a nice bottle of bourbon), he is having me set the line for this years bet. He then gets to choose above or below. Last year the Royals won 86 games. So I am choosing that number as the benchmark. So Swampy, will the Royals do at least as well or better than last year (86 wins or more) or will the fall back and win 85 games or less???
The ball (pun intended) is in your court sir.

I say more than 86. But wager couldn't be liquor because of thos damned blood thinners I have to take. (actually I think the number will be about 90 games if Royals stay healthy)

Ventura looks he could be the real deal. They best put him in the rotation. Moose is hitting .500 ... But it is only spring training..

Man you guys are really trained to expect the worst.
Royals easily go past 90 and should land around 94 this year.

Any professional team that would even consider Hoch as a starter does not deserve to win 55 games. As it stands in our rotation the number one is correct and that is about it. Bruce Chen should be in the pen. Ventura should be number two, Guthrie at the three, Vargas as our four and they should go find a dreg to fill in the number five hole. No depth in the middle of the infield at this time and two of the three middle guys have injuries. Just like at home and work, people don't like to hear my opinion
