Must be that new Monsanto variety what you found!

Hey Floyd........calm down its only a fukin mushroom. Finding A mushroom or 3 or 4 of em is like killin A DUCK or a couple of ducks opening weekend. The good mushroom hunting hasn't begun. My ol man has been finding mushrooms since your daddy was jackin off to the Sear's Catelog in the neighbors wood shed. Even my wife's grandpa who hits 84 this summer says it ain't time to find mushrooms....course he's just an old WWII vet with an 8th grade education, so he probably don't no chit either.

Some hillsides look like Mid to late April...other spots look like mid Feb. I'm sure folks are now starting to find mushrooms, with the warm weather over the weekend in South MO.

And yes dog pecker mushrooms and reds aren't morels. They are false morels. There is even a mushroom called the wrinkled thimble-cap.....that looks just like a forkin morel, but is a false morel. If ya need more help on soil, ph levels, plants, trees, approx. number of seeds in a pound of crops, varieties of fruits, or any other stuff like that let me know....I'll pm the ol man's number to ya.

So go out and pick your 6 mushrooms in a day....I'll wait until I can go out and pick 50 quarts in a day.

just sayin.

We filled 3 of these last year in a day. This is just a morning spot. I'm not the might mushroom hound.....That would be Loats. As long as the weather cooperates, it will be another great mushroom pickin season.

just sayin
