For The Flyboys
      #159111 - 08/15/08 12:25 PM

One day a guy walks into a crowded bar and sits down in a booth by himself and orders a beer. Soon the customers start gulping their drinks and slipping out of the bar one or two at a time. When the bartender suddenly realizes what he thought was going to be a good night has almost turned into a funeral wake and almost everyone has left, he asks his barmaid, "What the hell's going on? Why is everyone leaving?"

She looks at him and says, "Can't you smell it?"

The bartender sniffs the air and about gags. His barmaid nods towards the new guy in the booth. "It's him," she says.

The bartender dries his hands, takes a deep breath and walks over to the guy in the booth. "Fellow, I'm sorry but you're going to half to leave. You're running off all my customers."

Instead of resisting or getting beligerent, the sad-eyed new customer looks down and sighs. "It's the smell isn't it?"

"Yeah," the bartender admits.

Slowly the guy gets to his feet. "I'm sorry. It's my job," he says and turns for the door.

As he does the bartender asks, "What on earth is your job that makes you smell like this?"

The guy looks back. "I pump out the toilets for the airlines."

The bartender blinks as he understands. "Did you ever think of getting a different job?" he asks.

The guy looks at him with horrified eyes... "What? And get out of AVIATION?"

"Being deeply learned and skilled, being well trained and using well spoken words; this is good luck."
