Pages: 1 Ozark member Reged: 12/14/05 Posts: 4012 Loc: out in the woods Umbrellas       #237780 - 05/16/13 11:51 PM Edit   Reply   Quote   Quick Reply   Today, the POTUS made two enlisted members of the Marine Corps in their full dress uniforms stand in the rain and hold umbrellas over himself and the visiting President of Turkey. This was about two steps in front of the covered porch of the White House - all the dignitaries had to do instead was step back to get out of the rain. Barack and Michelle may have gone to bed laughing about having made a public spectacle of the two Marines for a black politician and for a Muslim Turk. I'm sure they did. Unfortunately, I bet a lot of left-wingers in this country got a big kick out of their guy showing off that he could do that. It's an insult. I've heard from several friends today who are ex-military members, and they're mad. One guy heard from his active-duty Marine officer son, and the word is that though service members aren't allowed to say anything publicly this is a big, big deal for them. They didn't much like him anyway, but B.O. really earned their undying contempt today. It should have been the other way around... Oblamer holding the umbrella for the Marine.
