Hard to imagine an organization so blatantly and openly corrupt (and not part of the US Federal Government) getting away with it for decades. Now the USA has taken the lead and will prosecute several of the crooks involved. Great Britain has been leading this charge for years but could never get any traction.
I guess the final straw was when they awarded Qatar the 2022 World Cup. Apparently the Sun was a close second but their representatives couldn't figure out how to wire the cash into the FIFA members' Swiss accounts and while the temperatures are only a few degrees higher than Qatar, it was said to be too hot, on the surface of the Sun.
