I know, I know, I prolly should have posted this on the birding forum. I don't want my post to be lost in the traffic down there.
Anyway, for the first time, we're growing tomatillos. The two plants are loaded with fruit, and there's still many blooms appearing.
In the past, I've only seen bumblebees pollinating the blooms. But today, I watched a hummingbird working them. He would actually land and get after those small yellow blooms.
I can't recall seeing them landing on a plant. A feeder yes, but not perch on a plant stem.
I do know this..... the next few weeks will see a glut of salsa verde !
