OK hands, I'm going to crappie fish Lake of the Ozarks for crappie this weekend and haven't crappie fished there in years. Can someone put me on the fish please? GPS coordinates with detailed explanations of the spots and the best way to fish each is preferred. Short of that, I'll just take some general info., if any of you have fished there recently. I'm getting pretty good reports from a few guys that fished there in the past weeks. But those guys are mostly green fish guys that have gone rogue and are now fishing for the good stuff...
I'm staying at the front part of Lick Branch and will venture a few miles each way to a few of my old spots to see if they are still any good. But I'm not going more than a few miles up the Gravois or past the 10 mile marker. I'll go down all the way to the dam, because I have a few spost down there.
Are they on the banks? Are they still holdig out? Is the spawn over? Any info is appreciated.

Just got back from there 5 minutes ago with our limits. Fished the 11 mile marker. They were anywhere from four foot of water to up on the banks. Water Temp is 59.5 degrees. Acid rain colored tube jig with white let head seemed to work the best. No cork

I think you're right foots. I know if your jig wasn't bouncing off the bottom they wouldn't bite it yesterday.

We didn't get to fish as much as we would have liked. The golf, cigar smoking, beer drinking and eatin', got in the way. Saturday morning, Saturday evening and Sunday morning added up to only 4-5 hours in the boat. We fell short of limits but brought home plenty for a few meals. A little more time in the boat and a little more familiarity with that part of the Lake would have helped...
They were 10'-20' off the banks in the coves. Mostly females with eggs, when we cleaned them. Water temps were 58-61, depending on where. We were just flipping jigs, tipped with minnows to the bank and slow retrieving them back. On a rare occasion, we got hit near the bank but 90%+ were out a bit. Not too many short fish. Most were 10"- 11" range.
Sunday morning was chiiiiiileeee. The thermometer on the dock said 36 when I pushed off. Stayed in the sun once it came up and shined on us....

Great smokes for the $$$. If you want to spend $10-$12 or more for a smoke, there are plenty better. But for the $4-$6 smokes, those are my choices. Add in a Jameson on the rocks and that is about as good as it gets for me. I forgot my Jameson this weekend and settled for Makers Mark on the rocks. A pretty good second best...
