in Old Town St. Peters behind QT. Great breakfast, lunch and prices. Its behind the QT so truckers can park there and walk over. Had the fried chicken special last week and it was a lot of chicken and sides for 6.50. Not open for dinner.

You could have walked just a little further, crossed the street and had lunch at Hobo's, in the American Legion building. Service is 50/50. Sometimes it is fine, other times it is horrible. But they serve cold beer so the bad service can be overcome, if you have time... The food is almost always good.
I have driven by the Main Street diner hundreds of times but never stopped in. Based on your favorable review, I'll give it a go...

I used to go to the Legion Hall when the Legion ran it as a cafeteria and the food was very good, homestyle stuff. I have been to Hobo's a couple times and you are right about the service and the food was ok. I am kind of a diners, drive ins and dives guy so Main Street, to me, is all good. I usually get the corned beef hash, eggs and taters for breakfast and its always good. Lunches I can hardly get away from the specials. the wife has had more of the menu items than I have and she always likes it. Keep in mind I was in the military so I am not real picky about chow. If you try it post how it went.
