Cori's Twin Gables
      #256945 - 04/05/18 11:18 AM

This place has been around forever and it flooded pretty bad last year. Couple of years ago a new owner took over and really cleaned it up and started to offer a lot of food choices. After the flood they completely remodeled. Stopped in the other day for lunch and got their meatloaf special. It was pretty good. They also had spaghetti with meat sauce and asked if that could be a side with the meatloaf. When lunch came out I was slack jawed at the amount of spaghetti they gave me as a side. It was in a very large bowl and pretty dang good. The green beans were in their normal side dish which I expected for the spaghetti. All that for 8.95. Wife got a bacon cheese nacho burger that was pretty good too. All in all a pretty good lunch for under twenty bucks.

Marthasville, across from the gas station on 94. A friend is a part time cook there, I think some gizzard nights, or was. Saw the remodeling going on,need to stop in sometime

Yep Marthasville. Don't know about culinary heaven but good country cookin' at decent prices. Fried chicken every Sunday and some weekdays that's pretty good too. Second Monday of every month they have free gizzards and livers for happy hour. About 7 miles north of Washington on hwy 47.

I've scarfed there on a few occasions. Fine vittles, and like R.B. said, it ain't really for the calorie conscious.

Last time I was there was a Fri. The entertainment was a chick and her husband. He played guitar, while she sang............ and painted pictures at the same time. I have to admit, she was pretty damn good at both.

Were you there for that, Dave ?

Not there for that one. Mostly go at lunch. They have music Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
