Fork 'em. Lots of kids left orphans here after 9/11.....the people of Iraq cheered in the streets. let 'em rot.

oh ye of short memory

"The State Department report said:

* Hundreds of Kurds have been killed and 900,000 made homeless in a new round of repression in northern Iraq.
* 160 homes of Shiite Muslims in the southern village of al-Masha were bulldozed in late June in response to protests against inadequate distribution of food and medicine.
* Hussein has spent $2 billion on presidential palaces since the Gulf War.

Before-and-after aerial surveillance photographs of al-Masha accompanied the report.

Another satellite photo shows Saddamiat al Tharthar, a sprawling lakeside vacation resort, 85 miles west of Baghdad, with stadiums, an amusement park, special hospitals and hundreds of homes for government officials.

"Despite its claims that the people of Iraq are dying due to a lack of food and medicine, Saddam Hussein doesn't hesitate to spend hundreds of millions of dollars for the entertainment of Baath Party officials and cadres," State Department spokesman James Rubin said. "
