I am definitely going against what the "supposed experts" are saying about the Royals. I think I saw the o/u in Vegas (BOVADA) was 80 1/2 wins (BTW They had the Cards at 88 1/2). And I just read an article that the writer projected the Royals to finish fourth.. in the AL Central! That writer said the Royals would only win 78 games.
So come on Boys in Blue! I think I need to win one more year to even it up with Toe-moss in our Royals betting history...

amazing how well you do when a DH can hit it over the wall and not up the middle where everyone knows they will be hitting it. It will be interesting comparing the numbers to BB's numbers this season

I said before the season that Rios and K. Morales would both be upgrades if they stayed healthy. In addition to the offense, I think by adding Rios the Royals probably have the best defense in the outfield in MLB.

What hurt me to watch last night was Infante for the Royals at the plate hitting .093 while Johnny G was playing for the other side hitting .450.
I still think Infante is the weak link this year.

I do not think Gio is an everyday MLB player. I'll be surprised if he is a starter on the Angels by year end. I would bet he doesn't hit over .265.
I do agree that OI might be the weakest link on the team but would still rather have him than Gio for the long run.

Umm Griffin said the Blues would NOT win the Central - I predicted they would. So I am a certified hockey prognosticator.
You got a man crush on Gio, Dabacus? It's really the only explanation. In the bigs he's a career .241 hitter with an OPS of .280 in 449 AB's. And he's a defensive liability.

Nope....no mancrush....just see talent in a fairly young player that will prove himself in his position.
And...with few exceptions Dayton and Ned have built the franchise around young player development for the long haul. OI just doesn't seem to be the answer to me.

I don't think OI is the long term answer . But I do think he is a significant improvement over Gio.

Have to say these first 6 games have shown us some great pitching, excellent defense (no errors this year thus far), and solid hitting.
We have a good start and plenty of reasons to be encouraged with the new talent added.
