I posted a brief mention of this on the other forum but felt it important enough to create its own thread on this forum. With the opportunity to watch some TV and/or movies that normally doesn't exist in my world, I watched some of the John Wick stuff. Keep in mind, I watched John Wick a few years back and found it a watchable, albeit extremely violent action flick. I mostly liked how realistic the gun battle scenes were, where John Wick wipes out about a dozen well trained killers in his house and then when he kills a few hundred Russian special forces types in a crowded nightclub with a pistol and a few extra clips. But I digress...
So, I figured John Wick 2 and 3 would be just as action packed and realistic. How wrong I was. I will spare you the details but if you haven't seen either, save yourself the waste of time you can never get back. Both movies had the action, to be sure. In fact, I think there is a collective 3 1/2 minutes between the two movies where he is not shooting people or getting shot at. And the reality of winning gun battles against dozens of well trained, special forces guys, armed to the hilt were just not there. It just got unrealistic...
If you have to choose, watch The Shawshank Redemption or a real quality flick like Roadhouse for the 34th time. Just say no to John Wick 2 & 3. You will thank me...
Carry on!!

I like all three movies *because of* the action. Great movies; will watch again.

Funny. We had just borrowed JW II from our neighbor before I saw this. Watched it last night and for chits and giggles we kept count of his "kills." Ninety-one plus or minus a few was our final total. It was ok movie and prolly watch JW III just to see how he escapes from his mutual assured global destruction.

According to the interweb and we know that is always accurate, he has killed 299 people in all three movies. Not bad for just having a handgun most of the time...
Whoever sells those 150 round clips that look like 6 or 8 round clips needs to market them better. I have to assume a lot of assassins and Wick and Bourne types would buy them up. But it appears Bourne and Wick types already have them...
Who would win Jason Bourne vs John Wick? And could the winner take down Chuck Norris?
