Can someone give me some good brands of resin to buy for making a foam layout?

www.westsystem.com
WS products are great, and they have outstanding customer service... called em several times with ???s and always good help.
It's a fun and easy project. Keep your Shop Vac handy.

PS, I think when I make my next foam duckboat, I'm gonna have the damn thing sprayed with bedliner instead of glassing it. Just sayin,

I always used us composites. Not sure if there is much difference between them or west system.

Prolly the same stuff, different logo, LOL. May be a price difference, who knows.
You or LIW or Too Tall the Neanderthal would know glassin' far better than me, I just know I had good luck as an absolute newbie with the West Marine stuff.
it even sticks to concrete floors pretty well LMFAO

West System is one of the best, I have used it in the past on a few projects. You might also take a look at MAS Epoxies. The MAS line is right on par with West System and some people even say it's better. I used it on my last boat and will use it on my next one too. It is priced a little bit less than West System, so that helped with my decision. Boater's World still had a store in KC when I did mine, so I didn't have to pay for shipping and that's what influenced my decision the most.
You will get charged a haz-mat fee when shipping epoxy, so your best bet is to see what's available locally before going the mail order route, or search for a supplier who offers free shipping or will eat the haz-mat fee.

Raka epoxy is what I use. They all charge a hazmat fee for separate shipping but send it in the same box
