Every so often, when I think about it and I'm sitting at my desk with the 'puter on, I put in for a some sort of managed hunt or waterfowl drawing. In this case, I put in for the opening segment of the managed turkey hunt at Weldon Spring. Knowing I rarely get drawn for anything, I had little expectations. Imagine my surprise when I learned the MDC saw it's way clear to allowing me to hunt on the 8,400 acre tract.
Not sure how much I'll actually get to go but it is nice to have that so close for a few hunts before work. 
I'm all in now

How big are the zones out there? Not big enough I'm sure.
I'd wear some Kevlar camo and pray on the way in and out.

Only one zone and it is about 8,000 acres. Plenty big. 
I know the area pretty well and have kilt deer and turkey there in the past. A few trails have been added and you always get to meet a few mushroom hunters that inevitably wander into the area your hunting.
