Tim, I seem to cross paths with them while floating.Jacks Fork, Eleven Point..... what ever.

The one on the Fork crossed in front of us. It made it to the bank, so put one foot out to stop the canoe. I splashed it in the face trying to making it pissed off enough to rattle. Maybe it was cold ? I couldn't get a rise out of it. Probably the prettiest snake I've ever seen. Maybe just got done shedding ? It looked like it had a top grade paint job.

Watched one clumsily cross a cove on Table Rock in July. A kid in the boat was casting at it. I didn't tell him what it was.

This last one....... I was happier that it was on the other side of the river.

Maybe the bears and pumas will keep their numbers in check.
