I have been working out of the condo the past several days. And for the past week, a male cardinal has been assailing himself against the windows outside.

He jumps up from the back of the bench on the patio, where he apparently sees his reflection in the slider glass door.

"Pugnacious" would not begin to describe this little guy's apparent defense of his home turf. I'd guess he assaults the window maybe 40-50 times a day. Beak a-bangin' and wings a-floggin'. He's a fighter, now.

Just thinking if this guy was our size. He'd be one bad dude to deal with....especially if one were to wear a red something.
