Isn't there something contradictory about trying to impose democracy on people at gunpoint? Just wondered.

Too bad there's oil in the Middle East. If there wasn't, we'd just let all the natives kill each other and wouldn't care.

It's also too bad we can't be honest about it. Chase all the Iraqis away from the oil fields, pump the place dry, then go home and let 'em get back to killing each other. That's got some integrity, at least.
