That whole region is not a region of "nations". It is a region of tribes, religions and sects. We keep trying to deal with it, as if the people think like we do. To them, borders are artificial boundaries set up by people that have no idea who's who, in that region. Does anyone think that a Sunni or Shia give two hoots about the border between Syria and Iran or even Iran and Iraq? They have very little allegiance to "Country" and full allegiance to their sect and/or tribe. The one thing they all have in common is that they hate us!! The only reason we have any allies over there is because, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend..." Once that shaky relationship ends, they have no use for us...

We need to sell them guns that have parts that only last 1 year. We can give them the updates as needed, depending on who they are aiming them at...
