I tried to give Trump a chance, really did. But I think he's full of chit... Did anyone watch the CNN Republican town hall meeting last night? One of the audience members asked a simple question to donald trump, "what do you think the top three functions of the federal government are"? With a confused look he answered, security, healthcare, and education. Then in the next sentance when the queer moderator from CNN asked him if he supported government run healthcare, he replied no, then asked him if he supported common core and he replied no. Wtf over? I don't even know if substance matters this election but if it does, Hillary is going to kill him in a policy debate

His biggest problem is that he is not an ideologue. He is a deal maker. He doesn't really come to the table with a set of well developed and well thought-out ideals and principles. When asked about abortion earlier in the week, he doesn't have the sense to just deflect the question and tell the questioner that this election isn't about abortion and until you brought it up, nobody has even named it as one of their top 100 concerns in this election. Rather, he stumbled, bumbled and made a fool of himself, then his campaign had to walk his comments back and "clarify then."

Like you, I fear he is going to get eaten alive when there aren't 8 or 9 people on the stage and he can't turn it into a circus or reality show. He doesn't seem to have any substantive arguments to back up his positions. Maybe that will change and he'll get better. The reason he is so popular is because he isn't a politician, PC or and insider. Ironically, that may be his undoing as well. Eventually, he will have to be able to clearly and accurately articulate his positions and put them in contrast to Hillary's. I'm not sure he can do that very well. The name calling and quick-witted retorts will only get him so far.

All of that being said, I will vote for him if he is the nominee. The question is how big of a man will he be if he does not get it? Will he take his voters and hand the election to Hillary or will he man-up and support the GOP?
