I was surprised to see he won 7 majors, was thinking it was more than that. But 62 tour wins. Wow.
RIP Arnie.

Got to see him play a few times. Got him to sign a hat for my Father-in-law, down at Bay Hill. Very gracious all of the time to all of his fans. He was also a pretty hardcore businessman and for as much as his fans called him Arnie or Arnold, everyone that worked for him called him Mr. Palmer. A legend to be sure...

Was working out of town in Baltimore and at dinner one night while the senior open was being played I scooted my chair back from the table and banged into the one behind me. When I stood up and turned around it was Arnie who I banged into. I apologized and he just smiled and said don't worry about it. Also saw him play in a couple of events over the years. Always seemed to take the time with his fans which were many.
