Please tell me where I said I hate the Royals. I HATE Don Denkinger. I HATE that yall won the 1985 WS title. I hate being in downtown KC. I hate KC roads. Do I root for the Royals all year long. NO Never have. I grew up rooting for winning teams. Teams with longstanding traditions. The Cardinals and the Yankees. I loved the old Yankees teams prior to 1970. I loved going to Yankees games in the early 90's even though they sucked ass. Today not so much. They buy players instead of developing them.

I'm happy for the diehard Royals fans. The ones with worn out Royals hats from years of use, or the ones who listen daily on the radio or watch the TC to catch their games.....or my buddies who have season tickets and have spent years watching miserable baseball and a damn near empty ballpark. I'm happy for those folk. The rest of the people are the fair weather fans who obviously just starting showing up.......hell with 2 weeks left in the season, and only 2 games back and with a wild card spot at that time held, 19,000 folks showed up for a Sunday baseball game......which is about the average crowd size for the season......with lots of empty seats the for 3-4 games before and after that Sunday. The fan finally stepped up the last homestand with sellouts. Where were those fans all year long.

Live it up. Maybe the bubble bursts....maybe it keeps on going. Enjoy the ride. I want paybacks for 1985
