That's as many league wins as the guy he replaced (Charlie Weis was 1-19 in Big 12 games), and the guy Weis replaced (Turner Gill was 1-16). All you need to know about the state of "HomeofToto" football is this: Fans stormed the field and tore down a goalpost after Saturday night's 34-14 victory against Iowa State. I repeat, Iowa State -- the same Iowa State team that is 2-7 overall and winless in the conference. For the rest of us, this is like tearing down an electrical pole because you folded your socks. It gives legitimate goalpost tear-downers a bad name. I know KU football has been a vast wasteland of losses. I know it was only the Jayhawks' second conference win in the past four years. And I know KU fans have nothing else to do until the Jayhawks' basketball regular season starts this Friday (can you imagine KU fans storming the floor after beating UC Santa Barbara?). But for the sake of all that is holy in college football, please don't ever do that again."
