And add in some of the other bonehead plays (don't bother checking Heyward on first for example) and this is not the Cardinal team baseball they've played since Whitey ball - strong defensive, smart base running, good pitching and timely hitting. They are doing none of those things. It started to show a few cracks a few years ago. Then last year it was just plain baaad and this year it is worse. Did they change coaches/instructors in the minors?
