Re: Binnington's hometown

A couple of points here.

Don't be hating on people, they aren't ALL the same. So, it's a waste of time.

I don't believe anyone has ever seen me take a swing at the USA, its flag, and especially not a vet.

Respect, yes. What I did learn during Vietnam, was this....the system itself is wacky.

So, as clear as the blue line on a Smart TV, here's my NoDakian hockey story, that the snoops might find enlightening.

We have neighbours down south, who are from North Dakota. He is an optometrist, and both he and she are excellent golfers. We have been friends with them, since we've been there.

Back in the day, he was studying and playing hockey for the University of Minnesota.

Then they called his draft number. He went to basic, and one day before he was ready to ship out overseas, some head honcho with the air force said to him, "You are an excellent player, and we have a forces hockey team that we'd like you to coach. Will you?" Without missing a beat, he answered, "Yes."

He spent the duration of his enlistment, stateside, coaching hockey for the Air Force, playing against other forces with teams.

He's not very tall, but stocky and he hits a ball, like a slapshot.

After he finished his "tour", without stepping foot in Vietnam, he played for years in Japan, because there we was considered a "big" guy.

True story. Sometimes you have to be good, to get lucky.
