Yep, some one needs to ask the question.
The last Preds game showed some good things, to be sure, but they lost. This isn't CYC 5th grade soccer. No attaboys and trophies for trying and playing really hard. I saw a game with 45+ mins of really good play. The problem is the game is 60 mins long. This is the same crap that got them to last place, last season. The foot has to be on the gas for 60 mins. Any let up and this team is not skilled enough or fast enough to get away with it. I'm OK with calling it a slump / skid and just understanding they are not playing well these days. I'm not OK with calling losses a good game. It sort of reminds me when idiot announcers say a guy had a good at-bat in baseball after several pitches were thrown and the batter made an out. Good ol' Tim McCarver would respond with "...A good at bat in my day is when you were standing on a base after it."
I don't really care if you're not ok with it if I spent all my time responding to your "not ok's with me" I'd have to get paid to do it.
They played well, they played hard, they played the way they played while winning a Cup. I know what the forking score was.
They hit a hot goalie and then made a mistake there at the end.
For a team who's looked more than bad for months their PLAY was more than acceptable and the best in months.
End of story.
