Hey, I'm still enjoying the Mendocino Spring Bock I found 8 six-packs of in the bargain baskets at Brown Derby. Good stuff!

I think I learned something about the incredible mark-up retail stores get on such beers. On a couple of the sixers there was still a price tag - "$9.99", marked out. I bought 'em on close-out for $3.99 each, and I'm sure Brown Derby's not selling anything for less than their cost.

So, the brewery that makes the beer, the beer distributor, and the trucking company that brought it from CA are all getting part of $3.99 out of that six-pack, and they're able to make a profit doing it. Brown Derby gets $6.00 for just putting the sixer on the shelf and selling it. Wow.
