Best bird of the season so far. 1 3/8" spurs 9" beard 23.5 pounds. Killed him at 18 yards. Tried to double up on him and another bird, but the two of them never got close to each other. Both birds had some hooks. Had 11 longbeards all within 50 yards. Had 3 toms walk about 10 yards from me. I didn't know they were there until they all gobbled about 20 yards to my right. Was watching the bird I shot, when they gobbled at the hen. Surprised me.....but a good surprise. Leaving them alone for a day or two and back out to scout em.
