91 yard bow kill

My son and his buddy were up as his buddy's family farm bow hunting this past weekend. After the Sunday morning hunt they were cleaning up the cabin and getting ready to head out, when a hen walked along the field, behind the house. One grabbed his bow, the other grabbed the GoPro. Once they realized it wasn't going to get closer, my son took off his broadhead and installed a field tip. He pulled back, raised the bow to his best guess for the distance and let it fly. Direct hit at 91 yards. Of course I did what any good father would do and chewed his arse for taking a shot that had a much higher likelihood of wounding the bird than killing it ... Then I congratulated him on a pretty unbelievable kill...

He called me from school (Rolla) last night to describe the buttermilk/Cajun marinade and how good it tasted, pan fried for dinner...

Here is the link to the video they made ... 91 yard bow kill
