Decent rain and Cards still in the cellar

Had a good rain
BIL went to Cards game the night everyone got booted
Got text about the number of hours wasted watching them lose that he can’t get back
At least I could change the channel
Garden looking good anyway

Had a doctor’s appointment earlier in the week
She asked me how I felt
I told I felt pretty good as long as I didn’t have see any doctors

Planted around 8 acres of corn at the duck club June 15th. Rain has been timely since then about every 10 days. Got about 8/10’s on it tonight and another round supposed to come thru in the morning.
Was down there last weekend and some of it was between 4 to 5 ft high…weeds were around 3 ft. MFA got it sprayed this last week so hopefully it doesn’t share the moisture with the weeds now…hard to get a sprayer to stop spraying fungicide on 100’s of acres to come back and hit 8 acres with roundup.
Just a short month and it will all start again for the year…seems like it comes quicker every year.

Corn looking good at the duck club
Got some volunteer milo on the fringes of the corn
Millet and smartweed and whatever is in the cutout in front of the pit
Pontoon blind area is looking good with smartweed
Penthouse blind &the gauntlet slough pretty much the same
Put in a new area along the creek….new blind designed so old Chubbos can get in and out of it with minimal trouble
Wingman planted it with millet and smartweed and rice Sunday before the big rain and even bigger wind came thru…..
Neighbor’s corn did not come thru the storm too well…….lot is blown over and I am sure he will do the crop insurance thing
About 40 days and the teal season
Yep……..time flies
