These threads are more exciting the sports threads so why not date them and start a new one every year? I put my feeder out April 14 and had birds on it April 16. I have 2-4 buzzing it daily now. I suppose when the cold air moves out for good, they'll pile up like usual. Got a line on 50lbs of free sugar, so I'll either feed the birds or make a lil 'shine.. Pictures forthcoming in the future |

I just put mine out on Monday 4/29. I have not seen much, just a few, but that's not unusual for Spring around here. They have tons of natural options for a few more weeks. And with the proliferation of this invasive honeysuckle, it may be June before I see my usual swarm of them. |

I've got a couple dozen now. Went thru a gallon of nectar in about 3 days on two feeders this week. Wu, been forgetting to tell you, but seen a couple orioles down this way. One was baltimore and the other looked like orchard. |

Here's a video of the birds swarming the feeders right at sunset last night, May 8th. There's just as many on the other feeder. Easily 50+. They'll empty a quart jar in a half hour and within 30-40 minutes they disappear and head to roost. https://youtu.be/KG2Z0o8jfJY |
