New Orleans Entrepreneur

Yep, he was an entrepreneur all right. Nine kids on welfare, free housing, and food stamps. How can New Orleans stand the loss?

25, nine kids, shot dead on MLK Blvd in NO

St. Louis just had a double murder on MLK the other night.

I think I would take Chris Rock's advice and avoid that damn street.

I used to watch the homies fleece unsuspecting whiteys on the Laclede's Landing in my partying days.

I was a little more street smart than the average bear and I used to laugh my ass off watching whitey win 20, then 40, then lose 80, 100. Hoped it taught their stupid ass a lesson they weren't getting at college....

Whack.....I think I'm just a bit older then you from reading your posts........I guess I'm going back almost 30 years, back when the 2nd Street Diner was on the Landing....the place with the fresh oyster bar.

Anyways.....I was driving a beer truck for Budweiser then, had only been out of the Marine Corps about 3 months or so. For some reason me and a couple buds got on a damn martini kick......Tanquary on the rocks with a couple olives. I don't know....we just started drinking them one day and didn't quit for a few months....older now, I understand that you just can't explain these things.

So..........one day we were down there eating oysters and drinking martinis like we owned the world....ended up on a park bench across the street with a bottle of gin and a bottle of olives......then one of us got the idea to put a trail of nickles, dimes, and quarters down the sidewalk after we watched some bimbo go nuts when she found a coin....at the end of the trail we put a 5 dollar bill down a sewer grate, so it could be seen......I don't know if I have ever laughed as hard since, as I did that day, watching a growing crowd of people trying to get that bill while we drank our martinis on the bench.

Hell, I may get a couple guys together and do that again....can't imagine it'd be any less funny today.

Us poor folks out in the country had to rely upon less expensive means of "coin deception." The ole' super-glued quarter in the aisle of the neighborhood grocery store was a standard ploy. Glued firmly to the floor just in view of the old codgers sittin' around havin' a joe.......fully aware of the ruse at hand.

Everyone is always telling jokes implying that Cajuns aren't smart.

My take on it...anybody who would build a city 10 feet below sea level, in a major Hurricane Zone and fill it with Democrats is a genius!
