The Tiggers are now 0-11 in conference play….Dennis Gates is Jekyll & Hyde from last year to this year. The wheels done fell plum off da bus!!!

Rome wasn't built in a day. Time will tell, but, I'm sure Gates will
get players to play in this conference. Hopefully sooner than later.

When you lose some great play makers to injury early on, it hurts in a big way. That's the 2023-24 Dennis Gates team. I'm still a fan of his. Without the injuries, I think he would have had a 20 win season easy.

John Tonje’s foot injury ended his season.
Kaleb Brown out for the season with the knee.
Caleb Grill smashed his wrist against Wichita State. 19 missed games to date.
East suffered a knee contusion, holding him out against A&M. That hurt bad for that game.

4th best class to date for 2024 and getting players back from injury. Next season should be better, with players back and the new class.

Re: 0-11

Now 0-17.

Sure injuries have hurt them, but when you go into the locker room at half time with a lead most of the games and give them away in the second half, surely you would think they could have kept enough steam in the tank to pull one of those out at least.

I’m still on the Gates bus…doesn’t matter if he is up 12 or down 12, he wears the same poker face and is cooler than Arther Fonzereli.

This season was a bust….now we get to sit back and watch how the committee can find a way to make #14 Kans*s a #1 seed

Re: 0-11

Not so sure about Gates. He seems to be fine, until the opponents start making in-game and halftime adjustments. Have to wonder if he's lacking in the tactical part of coaching. How much is the lack of proper adjustments and how much is the lack of key players due to injuries? I hope they give him the benefit of the doubt, but this can't happen again. And of course they need to give him piles of NIL money. Good players don't come cheap these days...

The team couldn't win a single conference game.

That was apparent this year, but he seemed to be able to adjust on the fly last year and overall was much better. Don’t know if it was the different talent this year or they all didn’t gel, but it was apparent it was different than last year.
