Now that drunken Brian France hasn't a thing to do with the sport......the set-ups, at least on the plate tracks allow for side-by-side racing and passing. |

I don't know about the set-ups, but it seems to me that paper plates would be alot easier for cleanup. griffin |

I was in Daytona a year ago February to visit a friend. We got to the ticket gate 5 minutes before The Clash started, and got tickets, no problem. Each of the sections on the front stretch are cordoned off with handrails, and inside each of those sections contain 400 seats. We counted, and averaged 10 - 15 paying customers in each of those sections. We had a riot, there was no one there to hate. I'm not going back. Daytona in February, is as humid as St. Louis in July. |

Still rocking The Casbah, apparently. The lead guitarist in my son's old band, just played at the Canadian Country Music Awards this weekend. He's extremely talented and is touring with a country artist this summer. I guess London was Calling, and I'm proud of them all, but country music? I don't like so much... |

"Canadian Country Music Awards", Eh? I'll be damned. |

My niece = Still in St. Louis, Sarge Proud of her too. The first husband was pretty ill for awhile, so she was kind of nursing him through that. Then, there was a mad scientist with a mobile laboratory in his van, parked next door a few years ago. He blew it up real good, and did some heavy damage to her house.... Still there. |

Plate track = Restrictor Plate Track = Super Speedway Daytona. Photos by me. Our cab ride to the track, from the campround, had to advertise all this stuff as included, because of the lack of spectators. The advertisement didn't say that after the race, he would drive you home with 9 people in his 7 seater van. |
