Me personally? Experience from my (much) younger days says somewhere between 1/2 gallon and 1 gallon - though unplanned eruptions sometimes occured when nearing capacity.
As per homebrewing - I've got 15 12-bottle cases of 22-oz. bottles, 3 primary fermenters, 4 secondary fermenters, and 3 five-gallon kegs. If everything was full at once, that's a little over 80 gallons of beer.
I've only brewed 50 gallons in 7 varieties so far, so I've got plenty of spare capacity. At my usual consumption rate of two 22-oz. bottles per day, 50 gallons would last me 5 months - but sharing it cuts that time down, of course.
I'll brew all winter and try to have most everything full at the end of March - when my attention turns to fishing and other things. Then that'll carry me over until cool (brewing) weather next year.
Moderate, downright moderate.

Sixie of Upland's Bad Elmer's Porter currently hanging out in in the fridge.
Upland is to Indiana what Shlafly is to Mizz. My preferred watering hole is now carrying the Shlafly line, good stuff.
Now that I have a sammich deer in the freezer I can concentrate on brewing some myself. Cheers!

Yes, finally made the trip North... didn't have time to stop by Ozark, it was a tightly-scheduled adventure. Ofcourse, there was time for a quick stop at Glenstone and Seminole. 2 sixers of the now-famous Schlafley dry hopped apa, along with a six of their coffee stout and a six of SA black lager... Let it snow!!

picked up a 6 of ODell's 5 Barrel Pale Ale. Not bad at all. I'm not good at describing the flavors, but it's good and worth a try. It's 5.2% Alcohol By Volume 36 IBUs
I went looking for their IPA. It's supposed to be a big boy at 60 IBU's 7.0% ABV, but they didn't have it.

Has anyone tried an IPA made by Redhook?? Called Lighthouse or something??
edit: Just checked the website at redhook and it's called Long Hammer... I looked at too many beers last night

I just have a hard time finding Hamm's when I want some. Its not that I really prefer the beer, but its as close as I can get to some of the old pardners long departed that I used to drink it with. There was nothing quite as good as the cans of Hamm's that had rolled around in the seat of the pickup while we went to move tree stands or rearrange goose decoys.

Hamm's Beer - from the Land of Sky Blue Waters, with the cartoon advertising bear. Man, I hadn't thought about that stuff for years.
There used to be a cheapo beer made in Los Angeles called Brew 102. The story was that they tried 101 recipes and couldn't get it quite right - but boy, Brew 102 was just perfect. It'd give you the chits, I remember that.
I miss the bottles from some of those old beers. Most of them were available in fat one-quart recappable bottles, 12 to the case. That meant a lot less bottle-washing than with 12-ouncers when I started homebrewing - and if I open a beer I'll want at least a quart anyway.

My Freshman year of college I fell in with a "Nothing but Bud" bunch. Seems like we could get three quarts for about a buck. 'Course a buck was more money in general. Can't recall if they were twist off or church key type bottles.

Anyone remember the "Give me a Black label Mabel"? I always wanted to try it, so on a shooting match trip for Uncle Sam we stopped in Indiana and they had Mabel's beer, it was terrible. We went all over, and the good thing about being a Bud man was that you could get it anywhere.
I hope y'all in this part of the country are stocked up, sounds like trips to the store might be slippery.

I never heard of Mabel either, unless "Give me a Black Label Mabel" was a Carling Black Label commercial.
In college I remember picking up a case of "Frankenmuth" beer for a camping trip because it was 'way cheap. That was horrible stuff - we got what we paid for.
Nearly all oddball-brand American beers are made by the major brewers, and that was true even before so many mergers happened. The thing about cheap American brews is that they're made with a lot of corn syrup substituting for barley malt. Corn is a whole lot cheaper, and it makes the beer "lighter" in color and taste.
Most all American beers have a lot of corn syrup, and the cheap brands have even more of it. Corn syrup is the same as corn sugar, and homebrewers pretty much quit making "sugar beers" a long time ago.

I think Pig's Eye was the worst I had. I haven't looked but i think it's still being made.
I always got a kick out of the Olympia truck. It said "it's the water" or something to that effect. I always figured the question behind it was, "wonder what is in that beer that gave me these ragin chits?"
oh yeah, added another case of dry-hopped apa to the fridge. it had just come in and they didn't even have time to stock it. some dude down there that buys it a 6'er at a time is going to be pissed

If y'all get the Mendocino Winter Seasonal - Imperial IPA down your way, give it a try. It's a lot like the SA Imperial Pilsner but at $6.99/6 pack it's a helluva buy. Not to mention the 7.5% ABV and the fact that it's really dayum tasty!

It was Carling's, I guess the ads were confined to the Midwest. The ads ran in MO, but I never saw the beer, at least not on the west side. There was a Jax's beer in OK and TX, that I know of, that had some funny commercials, but the beer was mediocre, like Coors.

I never could handle the IPU's that high. I made some India one time, but never really got excited about it. 35 is about right for my weak buds.

Ya know, my mainstream fishing-trip lawn-mowing beer is Coors. Not Coors Light, original Coors.
There's no preservatives in Coors, and it's supposed to be refrigerated all the way from the brewery. The closer you are to Golden, CO, the better it is. When they bring free drinks in Las Vegas casinos, I always get Coors - it's real fresh and good there.
I like Pete Coors' politics, too. He's spent a lot of money over the years fighting against gun control. Unfortunately, Miller Brewing gobbled up Coors a couple of months ago and I know how they do things. They'll gladly cheapen the recipe if they can save a penny a barrel - so I expect Coors quality to go down.
Everybody's taste is different. Personally, I think all Anheuser beers are real "mediocre" - but that's just me.

I always get Corona, because they put a slice of lime in the neck and I squeeze the juice out and push it into the bottle. Good stuff, but I've never tried it with any other brand so it might be the Lime.
Coors is just too sweet for me, or at least thats the impression I always have. Its not a watery beer though, like some, including the "Silver Bullets".

For Messican beers I like Bohemia, Dos Equis Amber, Pacifico, and Negro Modelo. Corona, Sol, Supremo - uh, no.
Because of the clear bottles, Corona is especially bad about getting light-struck. Anywhere from the brewery to here if it's been in sunlight or flourescent light for even 10 minutes, it's skunky.

I have to admit that between a buck a bottle and the ass on the delivery system, none of its bad. Dos Equis Amber is hard to beat for a cerveza.

I like the Banquet Beer for summertime as well. Has a better flavor than its colleagues. Somehow it got lost in the shuffle of silver bullet vs. bud light, bud vs. mich.

this is the best thread on the whole damn board.
case of banquet a couple bottles of apa 4 bottles of schlafly oatmeal stout 3 cans of bud
resting nicely elsewhere... 18 bottles of homebrew oktoberfest and just finished bottling 2 cases of double ipa (i gotta get keg setup ) 5 gal of ipa in the secondary.
i'm no pro so i have no idea what a session is related to beer.
