Forkin' Moles are in trouble now!
      #180362 - 03/23/09 09:01 AM

The past two years I have had mah hands full fightin' these tunnelin' bastages. I applied Grubex last year but it didn't seem to do much. I tried them 'spensive toxic rubber worms with no luck. I even tried to trap them with the standard mole/ground squirrel trap. Nothin'.

SO....yesterday I decided to re-apply what worked in OH so well. It's the YARD ROLLER!!! The sole reason I had not deployed it was because my yard has a lot of slopes and hills and some 500-600lbs. of weight can be tricky to keep from overturning or jack-knifing.

My new lawn tractor I have now is bigger than the one before, and I discovered I could dang near handle any slope with the roller. Nothing kills a mole like that roller! Nothin'!!!

Oh contraire......

Get a lawn chair, a six pack and two shovels. Park your arse at the end of a tunnel , wait patiently drinking your beer and watch for the grass to move. Stealthfully stand and drive one shovel six inches behind the moving grass into the tunnelcutting off the bastages egress. Then commence to stab the chit out of the little forker with the other shovel!!

I'd like to try that butane or whatever they put in the runs and ignite. I don't know if it'd get 'em, but it'd be fun.

I also used a number of them smoke bomb sticks. Dunno if I successfully gassed any of 'em or not, but I enjoyed doing it! I do know the stank of the sulfur kept them from re-using the run.

Bubba, I do like yer method and I will use that means once I have the bastages under some degree of control. I can see me enjoyin' the beer and the prospects of sliced mole.
