Grif and I found 35 this evening in about 30 minutes....still mostly greys and whites...2 small yellows.
Looks like the weather is gonna stay relatively wet and cool the next 10 days or so.
I swear......only found about 140 so far this year in a spot 1/2 mile from the house....forking Karma anyway.

Been finding bunches of big yellows since last Friday
By ar the best shroom'in year I've had since 1993.
Them bastages is everywhere this year!
Can't kill a turkey cause I got too many mushrooms to carry!

I watched a turkey get wacked AND found a mess of mushrooms this am. 40 quarts of those suckers now sit in the fridge downstairs for me to take home........and with rain coming tonight, I expect to pick a few hundred tomm. plus I got someone at the lake stockpiling crappie for me that get traded for fresh gulf grimp...........who is the karma chick and what does she do????

Karma did kick us in the nuts this past fall I guess. The "inland hurricane" that hit around here 2 years ago made a mess in the woods and knocked down a Buncha good timber. The loggers finally made it into the woods around where we turkey hunt and mushroom hunt. One of our best spots on the Yount farm was a staging area for the logs they brought out. We usually find well over 1000 mushrooms each year. We have only found about 50 in what's left on the past couple days. The rain will tell us over the next couple days how bad it's forked up. Thanks Karma whoever you are.
This area is what's left of one kick ass shroom spot. Damn sad

Me and the kids found 35 more this evening....the twins found their first and are hooked. I told them if they walked on their ankles,stuck their stomach out, and referred to everything they saw as a douchebag, they'd have better.......uh........Karma.
Worked like a charm!

My littlest (for the time being) is 4 years old. Saturday, he starts crying for no apparent reason... I say, "what's wrong bro?". His reply: "I just want to go mushroom hunting at Nanny's." We were out the door in 3 minutes.....
