fish where the guides are not. hard to troll when dudes are on a spot and don't get off of it did not make it above the bridge and had luck. No great luck but I was putting out two rods, drving the boat, netting fish, re-rigging etc... so it might have been better with someone who can fish. cut a lot of steaks out of this batch, enough to feed five people 3 meals plus an extra for my lunch. rubbed some down with sesame oil, seasoned them up a bit and grilled to the point the meat was starting to split. let them rest for about 5 and then ate. The wife is ready to go back and catch some more.  was one of the better pieces of fish I have eaten even in a place that serves only fish, excluding shashimi tuna.

Thanks Tom. That is a good looking boat, Fisher makes a good one. You will like that bimini top this summer.

The plan is to be down there this weekend trolling and drinking.....lots of both. I hope work gets pushed of until next week. Could use a fishing break after a week of Disney

Fish the usual spots any color will work as long as it is chart. 3mph or close to it seemed to be the speed.

Walleyes are way overated. Catch you some Bluegills or Redears and you can keep the 'eyes

I agree with swampy and fish. If you catch those worthless walleyes throw them in your boat so they can't go back and reproduce and I will pick them up when you get home and properly destroy and dispose the remains. Just my part to eradicate those useless fish. Catch the gills and crappie.

If I lived closer to those Kansass lakes that are full of big walleyes, I wouldn't do anything all summer long but drink beer and catch those bastards. I don't care about the fighting.....my end result is a damn frying pan or pot of grease to float in.
If I wanted to just fight a fish, I'd take up carp fishing

never have complained about catching either except for the slime on drum
If I could catch big carp on light equipment on a regular basis just for the fun of it I probably would.
Dog get some info on baits needed and techniques used on those Ks. lakes we can give it a try, most of them have hybrids too that we can catch for fun.

Holle has been catching eyes and slabs at the lake near his house......bit that's a haul from here. I know a couple lake closer that the guys tear up eyes on early in th spring. Will check on the hybrids out there
