They ranked 8th in the BCS bowl numbers but weren't good enough to get selected to one of the five BCS bowls? Talk about getting screwed over.

You mean like Mizzou did when it beat Kan-ass.......and we went to the Cotton Bowl while KU went to the orange bowl. KU guarantees they would buy all their tickets and were selling them as low as $5 a week before the game. Piss on the Big 12

All I know is that the BCS has five main bowls which call for ten teams. K-State was number eight in the BCS rankings which supposedly determine those ten spots. I could care less how a team travels. If we are going to include that in the criteria, then do away with those BCS rankings that are now obviously meaningless. I'm a Sooner fan, and probably always will be, but K-State got screwed plain and simple.

And again....just why is it this game of college football can't have playoffs?
I wanna hear the one again about how it might interfere with class schedules.

outside of the BCS money, I think K-State got a great bowl game...some of the BCS bowls suck anyways...
and Halfie, K-State travels most excellent to their bowl games!

K-State got the game they deserved. Down year for the Big 12. Since Oklahoma and Texas were not very good the whole conference was looked down upon.

The only team that got jobbed was OSU. LSU already beat 'Bama. Who wants to see them play again, other than the Tide fans? I wanted to see what OSU could have done agaist LSU. They deserved that shot. 'Bama's loss was at home in OT. OSU's loss was on the road, in OT, the day after a plane crash killed a few coaches from OSU!!! Considering these are human beings playing the game and not robots, that should have carried more weight than it did.
Now my hope is that OSU wins big, LSU loses to 'Bama and OSU gets the #1 spot in the AP poll. They can't get it in the BCS rankings because #1 has to come from the "championship game." But the AP poll doesn't have the restriction. Let's hope for that clusterfork to happen!!!

But dayum, if you're gonna have a system that pretends to get to the bottom of who's the best, you need to have the best teams play each other. Short of a playoff, OSU should get a crack at LSU. 'Bama done had their crack at 'em... And this isn't like some Boise State crap. OSU is a real team by any measure you want to use.

Boise state deserves a good bowl game like SEMO does. They play on a blue field with blue uniforms against teams who should be D-II schools. Pisa on Boise. Let them join whats left of the Big 12-2-1+1-1+1 so they can be a whipping post for ISU, K-State, and even KU. The only thing Boise State has left in their bag of tricks is a blue football

Boise State did not set up this crappy BCS system. Either abide by the BCS numbers or get rid of them. Just saying...............

Boise state played one game against a good team......like every season, they play absolutely no one. Their only loss was to TCU who hasn't beaten anyone either. They don't deserve a BCS game..........The same way WVU doesn't belong in the Orange bowl. The Least East sucks ass. Virginia Tech and Mich State don't deserve a BCS game. The win your conference championship is a joke along with the entire BCS system if they don't pick the top teams ranked in the BCS standings.
Every sport on college has a playoff system except football. Football doesn't because of the money in the meaningless 50-11 bowl games

That's part of it.
IMO another part of it is, in a way, what you are supporting with your comments on Boise.
The BCS's real strength is to keep the samo-samo power conference teams established, PAID and in line. This system guarantees the prominence of themselves and their clique....outsiders not welcome.....outsiders denied exposure, money, recognition and recruiting opportunities.
The BCS represents and protects the status quo. Fork that. It's boring and predictable.
Just listen to them explain why we DON'T have playoffs and that says it all.

What kills me the most........there IS playoff football currently in the NCAA. It works in DIII, DII and even in DI with the FCS. They blow smoke up out ass and tell us playoff CAN'T work in college football..........but every December ESPN is busy broadcasting college playoff football
