Newphew (Robin's son) got hitched yesterday real nice weddin,,and great big ole 2 whole hog b-b-que and dance,,got a lil loud fer me but them kids sure was havin a high ole time,,,nice lookin young couple.

Nope been bout a week since I had a cold beer,,ain't chittin,,,part of my stop smoking plan. Surprised myself went thru the whole gig,,ice water,tea, lemonade. Didn't miss it all that much,,,maybe gettin rid of these coffin nails won't be as bad as I thought  bout another week and I'll find out.

red leg, speakin' of quittin', I gave up scotch about 5 months ago. 100% off the the hard stuff. After overdosing for mebbe the past 7 years I quit it before it did me any more damage. Some folks can control it, I couldn't...and there are a number of folks on hera that knew that about me.

Ain't smokeless yet Kev,,,here's the gig tho...I know myself well enuff to know that if I'm drinking,,I'll be smokin,,,so the plan is to put down the cider jug and let my body and brain make the nessasary adjustments,,,few weeks later toss the nails...Figure if I try to quit em both at the same time it would send my ole azz into a tailspin I may never recover from.
Tell ya a lil secret bud,,,don't drink a gal. of sweet tea in the evening and expect to go to sleep when ya hit the hay,,,unless ya just wait bout 8 hours to hit the hay,,that mite work. Been a pita tryin to get to sleep,,,but it'll change I spect.
