Geez....
      #232712 - 10/03/12 09:38 PM

I guess I didn't expect Obama to absolutely get his ass handed to him.....you know, being the "excellent" speaker that he is.

The President looked like a buffoon tonight.....sad day for this country.

Time to fix it.

Romney was clearly much more sharp than Obama. Obama seemed completely unprepared.

Had nothing to do with being unprepared. That's the real obama that showed up without the teleprompter and brilliant spin and speech writers. Anytime he has to speak on his own he stumbles all over himself. Romney on the other hand was just being himself. You don't rack up 250 mill of net worth with others telling you what to say.

Being married to Chewbacca would turn a guy off of wimmen alright. Can you imagine what it's like when she gets mad and chimps out on him? I've got some sympathy ..... really!

Several surprises for me in the debate: Obama isn't completely an empty suit - he's smarter than I thought he was. Yeah, Romney beat him bad but Obama is more than just a teleprompter-reader. Gotta watch him.

I'm surprised that the mainstream media, mostly, admitted that Obama got beat. I figured they'd say Romney lost no matter what. If they're not completely in the tank for the Dems that gives me a little hope. Maybe they're just setting the story line up for a dramatic Obama turn-around in the debates to come, though.

Romney did great but he needs to watch some Reagan debate films and improve his delivery. A friend of mine has a mini-doberman (yap, yap, yap) and Romney's attack style resembles. Time to show some Presidential dignity now, Mitt.

My grandpa used to say "never get in a pissing contest with a skunk" and that's what we're up against here. The Chicago pols and the rich socialists behind Obama won't let their man get beat because of some poor debate performances. They'll lie, manipulate, stage national emergencies, or whatever to win - just watch.

I read a story yesterday that the administration is going to stage selected airstrikes on Libya before the election - supposedly to take out the bad guys who killed our ambassador. What - air strikes? I think we can go anywhere we want to in Libya now and I assume those bad guys aren't all sitting under a tree together reading media reports that we're going to bomb 'em, waiting for us to do it. Sheesh!

Just watch, they'll stage something big to help B.O. win, maybe even a war with Iran. Just sayin'.

Now you got me questioning Romney supporters. You're every bit as looney as the lady saying Obama's giving her a free phone.

Obama has NEVER been challenged or taken to task on anything, in the past 4-5 years. I blame McCain for the 2008 debacle but the rest has been a very favorable media and his people keeping him away from anyone that might ask a tough question. He shows up on The View, David Letterman and lets Bill O'Rielly lob softballs at him, whithout follow-up but never a real tough interview. He's managed to go over 4 years without a real challenge.

Hopefully, Romney will keep his foot on the pedal and not let up. Obama has been able to say whatever he wants, without having to back any of it up, for 4 years. Now that he has to back it up, we'll see the real Obama. His only hope is for the media to rescue him and that is a very real possibility. They are in the tank for him and will do almost anything to help prop him up. If left to stand on his own, he'll certianly fall. His specialty is sweeping platitudes that really don't say anything. If Romney can keep pressing him, he'll fold like a cheap tent...

Dead on sptsmn. It is a delight to see someone finally hold Obama accountable. Recall when Obama ran in 2008. He never offered any solutions when he campaigned. He stated away from any specifics, just offered change. That chit is not gonna work this time around.

Romney kicked Obama's slats out last night but good!

I'll accept that - since the lady is perfectly right, the federal government is giving her and millions like her free and discounted cell phones at taxpayer expense.

Cell phones for the poor.

Admittedly, the program started under Clinton and continued through the G.W. Bush administration, but it cost some millions of dollars in those days. Like everything under Obama the expense has mushroomed and this phone program cost $1.6 BILLION last year.

Gotcha - but don't chimp out on me.

No, the program's real - and wasteful. Click around on that website a bit and it explains that there's really no such thing as an "Obama phone" because the program pre-dates Obama. But there are EIGHT MILLION PEOPLE now provided with phones by the guv'ment and as the program has spread so has the belief that Obama is the benefactor. I think what's happened is that like with food stamps, Medicaid, and such, the Obama administration has pushed and expanded this existing program to get more free government goodies to potential Democrat voters. The petty bureaucrats passing out the phones just might spread the false impression that Obama started the Lifeline phone program and that the phones come direct from him, too - ya think?

The original idea was that poor people need phone access so they can call 911, but I bet a lot of those phones are used more to facilitate the drug and prostitution trades. Whatever - the government doesn't need to be taking money from me to pay for that.

I don't think Obama's a muslim because I think he's too self-centered to do more than pretend he has any religion. Hates America? Yeah, I think he hates white America anyway. How's that "Arab Spring" thing working out in the Middle East? He's sure helping out America's enemies there, but I doubt it's because he's religious.

And yeah, I think his side is so evil they'd start a war or let Israel be turned into a radioactive green-glass parking lot if that's what it takes to retain power.

P. Diddy, once again your political correctness gets countered by facts. Don't chimp out on me.

You want a good feel for the HNIC read The Amateur by Edward Klien. He's fond of the Dems and only quotes from Dems in the book, some first hand like Reverend wright. The bottom line is they no longer care much about their boy, but they have no place to go in their minds.
It gives a good look at his inner circle and it's scary as hell.
Senior adviser, Valerie Jarrett, married to a commy, tight in the Daley machine, experience outside Chicago NONE.
National Security adviser, Tom Donilon, experience NONE and has only been out of the country once and that was a ride with Obama to Afghanistan.
Axelrod, a political consultant.
This is the guys trusted inner circle. They don't have enough experience collectively to run a small state.

The say he fired/resigned James Jones as security adviser because he couldn't keep up with the general who actually knew what he was talking about.

AND - Obama is taking all the credit in his re-election campaign for sending the Navy Seals to kill O.B.L. - that's about the only positive accomplishment he can point to in his presidency. But the week Bin Laden was killed I read in two different reports that our administration had known where he was hiding in Pakistan for months and the Prez kept dragging his feet and refused to do anything about it.

Back then I read that Defense Secretary Leon Panetta finally threatened to resign and to give the reason publicly if Obama wouldn't move against Osama. Then, Obama reluctantly ordered the Seals in. I haven't heard any more about that angle since - funny.

Don't know if that's true, but given the character involved it sounds a lot more likely to me than the current re-election story of Obama the Great Muslim Fighter.

Aha, P-Diddy, more information has arisen. Allow me to clarify the "Obamaphone" situation:

The federal Lifeline program provided free land-line phones to the poor under the rationale that folks need them to call 911 (lots of 911-calling in the ghetto). Trouble is, land line phones aren't cool and, well, you gotta own or rent a crib with a wall to plug 'em into - so the program was limited, not too costly, and probably did some good.

The Obama Administration expanded the Lifeline program to give the poor free cell phones and cell phone service - and the program exploded. Well yeah, cell phones are cool and they expedite "commerce" in the 'hood - now you can call your 'ho, your pimp, your drug dealer, and they're oh so handy for burglary and robbery lookouts and getaway drivers.

EIGHT MILLION people are now being given free cell phones and cell phone service by our government at a cost of $200 per recipient per year. I'm guessing about 7,999,995 of them are Obama supporters.

But wait, there's more. The government buys the phones from TracFone, whose controlling owner is "Carlos Slim", the Mexican telecom tycoon and world's richest man. TracFone gets a great deal of money from our government for supplying these phones and services - and how that ties in with the open U.S. border, the Obama Administration's refusal to enforce immigration laws, and drug trafficking from Mexico ...... who knows? Maybe there's nothing dirty there at all, but at the very least why in hell would our government spend this money with a foreign-owned company so the profits leave the U.S.?

Now, TracFone's President and CEO is Frederick "F.J." Pollak, who is real tight with President Obama (surprise!). As reported by Fox: "Pollak has donated at least $156,500 to Democratic candidates and committees this cycle, including at least $50,000 to the Obama campaign. His wife, Abigail, is a campaign bundler for Obama and has raised more than $632,000 for the president this cycle, and more than $1.5 million since 2007. She has personally contributed more than $200,000 to Democratic candidates and committees since 2008." Pretty easy to make big political donations with the U.S. Government dumping billions on your company.

So yes, Obama is giving lots of free "Obamaphone" cellphones to the poor, funded by a surcharge (federal tax) on our phone bills - and that buys him votes. The extorted money, $1.6 billion a year and rising, goes to a company whose President and CEO is one of Obama's major sources of funding. And hey, if our Prez wants any favors for friends and supporters involving Mexico he doesn't have to deal with the weak and corrupt Mexican government - he can call "Carlos Slim".

You can imagine how hard it will be for any politician to undo this program in the future: OMG, he's taking away 911 access from the POOR - think of the CHILDREN!

This deal is so perfectly corrupt you've almost got to admire it. The new Chicago bunch in charge makes Al Capone look like a piker, huh?
