We got our first shipment of poly calls in last week.
They are not up on the website yet and it will probably be a week or so before we get that done - but here is a peek.
Got them done in both the Line Boy style and the Dub'l Dab'lr. Probably going to be the only run of the Dub'l we do in it and will convert them over to the Lil Dab'lr after these 50 are gone. The double burnt rings look good on the wooden calls but the Lil is a much cleaner look in the poly and acrylic calls.
The mold process we are using produces a nice, clean end result. Most of the poly calls on the market have obvious mold lines down both side and injection ports from where the poly is put into the molds. This process doesn't have those. There is a small place on the inside that you can see if you are looking but they pretty much look like a turned acrylic product.
Here are the Line Boy barrels - we got them done in Emerald Green, Black, Bourbon, Clear and Blue Swirl.
Here are the Dub'l Dab'lrs - same colors -
Note they are not finished in these pictures - we still need to fill in the engraving with color - what you see in the pic is just some residual polish and the bands were just glued on before the pictures and they still need to be cleaned up some.
The inserts are available in White, Orange Swirl, Chartreuse, Black, Hunter Green, Clear and Smoke. Somehow the Smoke was left out of the picture.
They are going to sell once we get them up and going for $25.00 to $27.00 each but we are running an introductry price on them for a few weeks at $20.00 to get them out and about.
PM me or give me a call if you are interested. I have a sound file I can email but can't figure out how to get it loaded into a format that can be posted...time to do some googling I guess.

waaaaaaay back in the mid nineties, I hosted the first internet duck calling contest (and probably last) with World Champ Jim James as judge
we would have the contestant use the Sound Recorder software that came with Windows and a cheap microphone to record their "routine"-- then email it to me and I'd set it up in my old web page
Sound Recorder produced a wav file that was compressed in file size that could be uploaded to a web server and you would post it as a link -- just like a image or anything else that you would link
it was under Accessories/Sound Recorder in the start button dealio
You might look into it-- I imagine you might even be able to convert it to mp3
Audacity is supposed to be freeware that pretty much can handle any sound file--at least that is what several sound hounds tell me
Nice sounding call btw

Boys, Dabs fixed up some calls for the Kearney DU banquet that are OUTSTANDING!!! Look great, sound great, and are definitely worth the money. You ought to look into these calls. They would make even Bruce Carp sound good. LOL

Thanks Scott - I won't be there Saturday - already had tickets to the one in Independence - been attending that one for a number of years.
Logan is going to come to yours though - he said he is tired of the same old same old at Independence. His grandpa is going with him (F-I-L).
Hopefully he comes home with a gun or two

Just got back in town and picked up the mail. First thing I opened was the new call. Bought this call just to add to my collection. Will be using this call the rest of the season, looks great and sounds great. Thanks

Rick, I gave one of my two to a novice hunter.. it would pain you to hear the noises he forces through the call.. but a guy has to learn.....
The other will bE at Otter on sunday.....hopefully out in the cypress...

Glad you like it. If you have any issues just give us a shout and we are always open to feedback. The positive is good to hear but to make a better widget you also must be open to listening to what could improve things too.
Best of luck the rest of the year.

What better than to give a novice callmakers call to a novice
Actually, a Line Boy series poly 10 Ninety will be in attendance at every DU banquet in Colorado next year. Their State committee recently placed a custom order with their logo on the bands and will be supplying them to each chapter to use in their banquets
As for you and the cypress....it is probably time to upgrade to the acrylic we just got the first batch complete and hope to have them on the site in the very near future.
