I took Jessie out for a run saturday morning.. jumped 5 rabbits .. he ran back ZERO.. after an hour or so, he looked at me like he was done and starting walking in my tracks....
Put him in the barn and ran the bird dawgs for about 3 hours...
let old jess out of the barn and headed to a thicket.. he looked at me like I was nuts... walked over to the truck and sat by the door.... i called him over and he just walked in my tracks.. jumped a rabbit and shot it. thought he might get enthused... nope, sniffed it.. walked back to the truck and sat by it..

remember when he was 4 months old and he growled at you for trying to take a rabbit from him? or getting stuck in a snowdrift and you had to rescue him....
his hunting days are behind him.... probably still take him out another time...but it wont be to fill the hausenpfeiffer pot...
maybe I should come and make you walk him...you might be more his speed!

Yep me and him mite get along real good,,,he could look out one window and I could look out the other  cut down on back trackin that way 
BTW sounds like he's got YOU trained real well..
